Privacy Policy

Short version: every calculation runs in your browser and your inputs never leave your device. The site is free because it shows ads, and advertising and analytics use cookies that you can opt out of.

1. What we do not collect

We do not collect names, e-mail addresses, accounts, genetic data or the values you type into the tools. There are no logins and no databases of user data. The sequences, genotypes, family pedigrees and other inputs you enter are processed entirely by JavaScript in your browser and are gone when you close the page, unless you save a link or a file yourself.

Some tools offer a “share” button that puts your inputs into the page address (for example ?p1=Aa&p2=Aa). Those links contain only what you entered; anyone you send the link to can see it. Links are not stored by us.

3. Local storage

Your browser may keep small preferences on your device, such as the light or dark theme or the last display setting of a tool. This data never leaves your device and you can clear it in your browser settings.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites and to measure ad performance. Third-party vendors may also use cookies for this purpose. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings and learn how Google uses data at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message before personalised ads are used.

5. Analytics

We use Google Search Console and may use privacy-respecting analytics to see which tools are used, in aggregate: page views, country, device and browser type, and referring site. This data cannot identify you. You can block analytics with browser settings or an extension without affecting the tools.

6. Server logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may automatically record technical information such as IP address, browser type and the time of a request for security and performance. Cloudflare’s own privacy policy governs that data.

The site is used by students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Ads shown to visitors identified as children are not personalised.

9. Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on request. You control cookies and local storage in your browser. Residents of the EU, UK, California and other regions with privacy laws have the rights those laws provide; for advertising data, exercise them through the Google links above.

10. Security

The site is served over HTTPS only, has no user database and processes your inputs on your device.

11. Changes

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
